We love nothing more than seeing Coastal Vintage treasures become part of a beautifully designed home, and House 18 by Three Birds Renovations is a particularly special one.
Set in a beautiful Sydney neighbourhood, House 18 – affectionately named Maison Soleil, or House of Sun – is a light-filled family home designed to feel sophisticated yet relaxed, polished yet lived-in.
And amongst the beautiful interiors, you'll spot a few favourite pieces from Coastal Vintage.
Welcome to Maison Soleil
Three Birds Renovations set out to create a forever home that felt impressive without losing the warmth and comfort of family life.
The result is a home filled with natural light, beautiful materials, thoughtful details and plenty of personality.
Golden sunshine pours through the house, inspiring the name Maison Soleil and becoming an integral part of the home's design.
It's the kind of home that feels considered without feeling overly styled – a space where beautiful pieces sit comfortably alongside the everyday moments of family life.
Coastal Vintage pieces at home
We were thrilled to see several Coastal Vintage pieces featured throughout House 18, each adding its own layer of texture, warmth and character.
A statement Onyx Bowl for the dining table
At the centre of the dining space sits our Large Onyx Bowl, adding an organic element to the beautifully considered room.
With its natural stone colouring and unique variations, onyx is one of those materials that works effortlessly with both contemporary and more relaxed interiors. No two pieces are exactly alike, making each one feel like a treasure in its own right.
Collected details in the kitchen
The kitchen features a beautiful mix of Coastal Vintage pieces, including our Wooden Bread Board, Stoneware Bowls and Marble Cheese Dome.
These are the kinds of everyday pieces we love – practical, beautiful and full of natural texture.
Layered together on the kitchen bench, they add warmth and character while complementing the home's sophisticated, natural palette.
It's a perfect example of how simple, collected pieces can make a kitchen feel lived-in and inviting.
Our Bobbin Stool in the bathroom
One of our favourite pieces in the home is our ever-popular Bobbin Stool, styled in the bathroom.
With its timeless turned timber detailing, the Bobbin Stool adds warmth and texture to the space while also being beautifully practical.
We love seeing pieces like this used in unexpected spaces. A stool doesn't have to be confined to the living room – in a bathroom, it can become both a functional piece and a beautiful styling element.
Coastal style, with a sophisticated edge
Maison Soleil is a beautiful example of how coastal-inspired pieces can be incorporated into a home without creating an overly themed coastal look.
Natural materials, warm tones, beautiful textures and carefully chosen vintage pieces create a relaxed sense of coastal living, while the sophisticated architecture and refined finishes keep the overall look feeling elevated.
It's a reminder that coastal style doesn't have to mean everything blue and white.
Sometimes, it's simply about bringing in natural textures, weathered finishes and pieces that feel collected rather than copied.
Collecting a home, one piece at a time
One of our favourite design philosophies at Coastal Vintage is that the best homes aren't filled overnight – they're collected over time.
The pieces that make a home memorable are often the ones with character. A weathered timber piece, a beautiful piece of natural stone, a handmade bowl or a timber stool discovered along the way.
They're the details that give a home its soul.
Seeing Coastal Vintage pieces become part of House 18 is a wonderful example of this. Beautiful design isn't always about buying everything at once. It's about finding those special pieces that speak to you and allowing them to become part of your home.
