This is an old rantang, which is a multi-layered food container from Indonesia similar to an Indian tiffin.
These are designed so that each component of the meal can be carried without mixing. A layer for rice, one for curry or stew, and one for roti! How delicious!
Painted a lime green some rust is peaking through the paint giving a rustic look.
